- A paragraph on the new skills you learned from working with Diigo. How can this application be useful in your classroom, with team members, and in your individual professional efforts?
- A paragraph about how you might use PowerPoint to support student learning at each level of Bloom’s Taxonomy (Google it if you need help!) in a particular lesson. Be explicit.
- A paragraph about technology and teacher professional development. Teachers are tasked with being the driving force of technology innovation in education -- which is directly related to professional development, how we stay aware of changes. Post a screenshot, link, and description of one site you could use to stay informed of technology trends
Working with Diigo did not do much for me, I truly don't find it necessary to use as there are other resources which do the same things but on a combined platform with other uses. It's not bad but I know I won't be using it as an educator.
Powerpoint is useful in getting information to a large group simultaneously, I think its a useful tool for many teachers to not only interact directly with students but to also get feedback on how they explain concepts. As a technology, I think it is more useful in comparison to most others, but there are still more advanced programs that may be beneficial to students and teachers.
Most schools directly inform teachers of what technology they should be using at specific times throughout the year. This also comes with training courses on how to best use them and how to implement them into a typical classroom setting. However, if funding allows research can be done to find effective software.
